My Sharjah Travel in 2024

I was invited by Muhammad Mubeen Keerio and Mr. Misri Khan Mari, the owner of Al Sama Al Zarqa, to Sharjah travel, UAE. Having already created a website and worked for Al Qasr Al Muneer Metal Scrap Trading, I aimed to enhance its visibility.

My visa, meals, residence, and one-way flight to Dubai were provided by Mr. Keerio and his partner Shahnawaz Kambrani, while I covered my return ticket. I arrived in Dubai on March 10 and returned on March 26, traveling back with Muhammad Mubeen on the same flight. During my Sharjah travel, I also collaborated with Mr. Misri as a hybrid employee.

Upon my arrival in Sharjah on March 10, I found that the holy month of Ramadan had begun. Embracing the spirit of the season, I observed the fast throughout the entire month. I also dedicated time to pray, enriching my stay with both spiritual and professional fulfillment.

During my visit to Sharjah, I successfully created a website for Al Sama Al Zarqa, with the domain name heavymachines.org. My team in Pakistan and I developed the site, ensuring it was optimized for local visibility by listing it on Google Maps. This effort aimed to enhance the company’s online presence and accessibility.

We also ran a few days’ Facebook campaign for both companies to boost their visibility. However, during Ramadan and amid heavy torrential rain, traffic to the scrapyards was significantly reduced, leading to unprecedented losses across the UAE. This combination of factors impacted our promotional efforts and overall business performance.

The Storm. On Monday, April 15, 2024, the first signs of a powerful storm appeared as rains began to fall across the UAE. By the next day, Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the storm intensified dramatically, unleashing a deluge that continued relentlessly.

Finally, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the storm officially came to an end, but not before setting a new record. In just 24 hours, the UAE experienced unprecedented rainfall, surpassing all previous records since Emirati meteorological data collection began in 1949.

This event marked a historic moment in the nation’s weather history, leaving a lasting impact on the region.

Visiting Burjman Downtown Dubai

I accompanied my brother Mubeen to BurJuman, where he had an interview at the USA Embassy. While waiting across the street, I noticed that the water nearby was shockingly filthy, reminiscent of the polluted waters in Karachi’s Kyamari.

Since Mubeen wasn’t allowed to bring his bag, computer, or mobile phone inside the embassy, he handed them to me for safekeeping before heading in for his interview. Taking pictures or shooting video on either side of the embassy was strictly prohibited. It was an eye-opening experience on multiple fronts.

Homeward Journey: The Path Back to My Country

On April 26, my brother and I returned to our beloved home, Pakistan. Stepping back into the country we cherish so deeply filled us with a sense of comfort and joy. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of being home, surrounded by the familiar warmth and love of our homeland.

Upon our return from Sharjah, we were warmly greeted at Jinnah Terminal by my sister-in-law and my two nephews, Asim and Husnain. Their smiling faces and heartfelt welcome made the homecoming even more special. The reunion at the airport was filled with joy and excitement, marking a perfect start to our return.

Additionally, my brother’s father-in-law and his wife were also there to receive us. Their presence added to the joy and warmth of the reunion, making our return to Pakistan truly memorable.
